The party was renamed the Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform (UDAR, which means "punch" in Ukrainian and Russian) of Vitaliy Klychko, the ministry’s press service reported.
Klitschko was elected the new leader of the party, in place of Roman Romaniuk.

According to the party, the respective amendments were made at its extraordinary congress on April 24, 2010.
Ukrainian boxer Vitaly Klitschko is a deputy of Kyiv City Council, who heads the eponymous bloc at the council.
