Oct 1 Rockets hit Nikopol and Synelnykove, Dnipropetrovsk region – extensive damage. Missile strikes on infrastructure and residential buildings in Mykolaiv and Odesa.
Oct 2 Ukrtelecom van hit a landmine near Okhtyrka, Sumy region, killing the driver and injuring three engineers. Five died after a car hit a landmine in Vasylenkove, Kharkiv region. Four S-300 missiles destroyed the industrial infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia. Shahed drone hit civilian infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. 180 children were taken from an orphanage in Luhansk to the Moscow region.
Oct 3 Doctor killed and a nurse injured in a strike on a hospital in Kupyansk, Kharkiv Region. A missile strike hit a reservoir near Ochakiv, and rockets hit civilian infrastructure in Pervomaiske, and the railway station in Bereznehuvate all in the Mykolaiv region.
Oct 4 Two S-300 missiles fired at infrastructure in Bereznehuvate, rocket and heavy artillery hit the port of Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region and Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region.
Missiles damaged houses and a school in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, four wounded. Missile strikes on Kharkiv destroyed a factory; one was killed. Rockets and heavy artillery hit Nikopol, Pokrovsk and Synelnykiv, Dnipropetrovsk region, and four were wounded at a factory and agricultural company.

Oct 5 Artillery strikes Nikopol and Novomoskovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region, a church, lyceum, and gas pipeline damaged. Mass grave found in liberated Lyman, Donetsk region – contains both civilians and Russian soldiers abandoned during the retreat. Bodies of two men handcuffed together were found in a pit in Novoplatonivka, Kharkiv. Three Shahed drones hit infrastructure in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region, and three were injured.
Oct 6 Seven missiles destroy apartment blocks in Zaporizhzhia, killing 26, and injuring 89 including 11 children. Missiles fired at infrastructure in Khmelnytsky region.
Oct 7 Artillery strikes on Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Marinka, Avdiivka, and Ocheretyn, Donetsk region – houses and two schools damaged. A second mass grave was found in Lyman, Donetsk region. Cross-border mortar, artillery and helicopter strikes on infrastructure and rail tracks in the Sumy region, one killed.
Oct 8 Bodies of four civilians murdered in mid-September were found in the cellar of a house in Kupyansk, Kharkiv region. S-300 missiles strike Kharkiv city injuring 4 damaging commercial buildings.
Oct 9 Shahed drone killed one in Myronivka and 120mm mortars hit border areas of Sumy region. Ten missiles were fired at Zaporizhzhia damaging several residential buildings, killing 13.
Oct 10 Missile strikes against infrastructure, transport hubs and residential areas across Ukraine, including Kyiv, using cruise, ballistic, anti-aircraft guided missiles and kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles – 30 killed and 50 injured; 56 out of 84 shot down by air defense. Around 30% of energy infrastructure in Ukraine was damaged.
Oct 11 Massive artillery attacks in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region and border areas of Sumy region. Shahed kamikaze drone strike damaged the Ladyzhyn thermal power plant in the Vinnytsia region, six were injured.
Oct 12 35 mass burial sites found in liberated areas. More cross-border attacks on infrastructure in the Sumy region, cause power outages. A missile strike on the central market in Avdiivka, Donetsk region, kills seven and wounds eight. Multiple S-300 missiles hit Zaporizhzhia damaging buildings including a hospital and wounding eight. More than 100 rockets were fired at Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, wounding six and damaging almost 40 buildings, gas pipelines and power lines.
Oct 13 Strikes on Nikopol and Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region caused power outages and serious damage to public buildings. Two missile strikes on Kharkiv infrastructure caused power outages. Attacks on Orihiv, Zaporizhzhia region, killed two, wounded nine and destroyed civil infrastructure and utility networks were destroyed. S-300 missile strike on a five-story building in Mykolaiv kills seven; an 11-year-old boy was dug out of the rubble after six hours.
Oct 14 S-300 missile strike on infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia, fifteen killed.
Oct 15 Children from Zaporizhzhia region taken “on vacation” to Krasnodar region, Russia. Shahed drones and multiple S-300 missiles destroy energy infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia. Missile strikes on the Kyiv region damaged infrastructure but it is still working. Rocket and artillery strikes on Nikopol, Marhanets, and Chervona Hryhorivka, Dnipropetrovsk region; wounded four and damaged high-rise buildings, a transport company, shops and offices.
Oct 16 Over 40 Shahed drones attacked Kyiv and the region – 36 were shot down, the rest struck apartment blocks killing four and injuring 19. Six were killed and 14 injured in missile strikes on Mykolaiv and the surrounding area. Two schools were hit with rockets in Polohy, Zaporizhzhia region. More than 40 rockets were fired at Nikopol, and Marhanets Dnipropetrovsk region, injuring one, infrastructure damaged.

Oct 18 Another four bombardments of the Sumy region, and two died. Eight S-300 missiles were fired on Kharkiv from Belgorod, energy facilities were seriously damaged; one was killed, and six were wounded. Shahed drones destroyed a residential building in Mykolaiv, killing one.
Oct 19 Artillery strikes on Beryslav, Kherson region damaged houses, shops, cafes, offices, and farms; six civilians were killed and 11 injured. A 60-year-old man lost both legs in a landmine explosion. Moscow declared “martial law” in Donetsk and Luhansk so-called “People’s Republics” and occupied areas of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Three ambulances were destroyed by an artillery strike in Dvorichna, Kharkiv region; three emergency workers were injured. Missiles strike and damage the Burshtyn thermal power plant, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Eight civilians were wounded in Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia during a seven-hour bombardment, electricity and water supply cut off. Large-scale attacks throughout the Dnipropetrovsk region cause power outages that also affect pumping stations cutting off water utilities. The shelling of Enerhodar, near the Zaporizhzhia NPP cuts off electricity and water.
Oct 20 Evidence Russia has mined the dam and infrastructure of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. S-300 missile fired at Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia region. Three State Emergency Service deminers were killed by landmines and four injured in the Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions.
Oct 21 Over 40 children under five years of age moved from Kherson orphanage to occupied Simferopol. Border areas Chernihiv and Sumy regions were hit with mortars and artillery.
Oct 22 Sumy region shelled more than 100 times. Missile attacks on Lutsk and Rivne destroyed energy facilities. Internet access was lost in Mykolaiv and Khmelnytsky regions due to power outages. Energy supply restrictions have started in Kyiv, Kyiv region, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kirovohrad regions. Nikopol and Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region, were hit with MLRS and heavy artillery; houses and energy supplies were damaged. 1,000 families are left without electricity.
Oct 23 Artillery and rocket strikes on Bakhmut and Kurdiumivka, Donetsk region, killed seven, wounded two, and severely damaged a local hospital. Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region was shelled, injuring five and widespread damage. Overnight attacks on Zaporizhzhia by Shahed drones and S-300 missiles damaged a public building, houses, and a school.
Oct 24 Massive shelling in the Donetsk region killed eight civilians and wounded 19 more.
Oct 25 Missile strike on gas filling station in Dnipro killed two and injured three. S-300 missile strikes on Kupiansk and Vovchansk, Kharkiv region injured four and damaged administrative, farm and residential buildings. The water supply in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region was disrupted by a rocket strike. More shelling in the Donetsk region killed seven civilians and wounded six.
Oct 26 Exhumation of over 600 bodies from unmarked mass graves in liberated areas of the Kharkiv region begins. Some residents of occupied Mariupol still live in tents and cook over campfires. Phosphorous munitions fired on Orikhiv and Preobrazhenka, Zaporizhzhia region destroying six apartment blocks and their occupants. Shelling of villages around Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv, located near the contact line, continues, killing four and wounding four.
Oct 27 More mass graves uncovered in liberated areas of Kharkiv with over 900 requests for information on the “missing.” Border areas of Chernihiv region hit with mortars. More than 20 Shahed drones hit energy facilities in Kyiv Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions, with a similar number attacking Odesa, Mykolaiv and Vinnytsia regions. MLRS strike damages infrastructure objects in Zaporizhzhia.
Oct 28 Farm and residential buildings damaged by strikes in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region. Large-scale shelling of frontline towns of Avdiivka, Marinka, Krasnohorivka and Maksimilyanivka, Donetsk region damaged energy infrastructure. Nikopol was hit dozens of times destroying houses and power lines.
Oct 29 12 settlements in Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions shelled, killing five, wounding ten, destroying houses and apartments. Five communities have come under artillery and mortar fire in the Sumy region.
Oct 30 Settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv region have again been hit with cross-border fire using drones, artillery and mortar fire. Ukraine suspends grain exports from Black Sea ports because of Russian withdrawal from the export agreement. The Enerhodar industrial zone, Zaporizhzhia region, was struck, destroying a substation and causing power outages.
Oct 31 Shahed drones hit critical infrastructure and buildings in the Kyiv region, causing widespread black-out and loss of water supply. A missile strike damaged critical infrastructure in the Chernivtsi region. Four civilians were killed in Bakhmut and two injured in shelling in the Donetsk region. A concerted strike on the Dnipropetrovsk region by MLRS, heavy artillery and Shahed drones killed three, destroyed an energy facility and damaged 30 apartment blocks administrative buildings and power transmission lines.
NOVEMBER 2022
Nov 1 Strikes on Ukraine's critical infrastructure continue. Over 200 murder victims remain unidentified in the Kyiv region. S-300 missiles strike Mykolaiv, killing five and wounding nine. Seven Shahed drones, in two waves, hit military and civilian storage in Poltava, killing three. Rockets and artillery hit Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, and Nikopol and Marhanets,
Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging 14 high-rise buildings, a kindergarten, a pharmacy, shops and bank premises. Power lines cut off the power to water supply pumping stations. More than 40,000 families were left without water and more than 10,000 without electricity.
Nov 2 Emergency power outages declared in many regions. Over 100 strikes on the border areas of the Sumy region damaged power lines and homes. Widespread shelling along the front in the Donetsk region killed four civilians and damaged power infrastructure and buildings. The hospital in Toretsk was targeted, its surgical building and maternity ward were damaged. Shahed drones attacked infrastructure in the Cherkasy region. S-300 missiles caused extensive damage in Nikopol and Chervonohryhorivka, Dnipropetrovsk region. Shahed drones caused significant damage to infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih, many areas without electricity and water.
Nov 3 MLRS hits in Nikopol and Marhanets caused damage and left large numbers without electricity. Missile and artillery strikes throughout the Donetsk region damaged the power grid and many private dwellings.
Nov 4 Zaporizhzhia hit with S-300 missiles damaging gas pipelines. Kupyansk, Izium and Chuhuiv Kharkiv region were hit with artillery, damaging farm and residential buildings.
Nikopol, Myrivsk, Chervonohryhorivka, and Marhanets came under MLRS fire, causing damage to residential buildings, power lines, and a gas pipeline.
Nov 5 More than 30 settlements were attacked in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions using missiles, kamikaze drones, rockets and artillery, killing 17 and wounding more than 20 and damaging energy systems, private and public buildings.
Nov 6 In Beryslav, Kherson region, one-and-a-half kilometer-long high-voltage power lines were destroyed – repair is impossible as it is overlooked by Russian forces; water wells were mined. 100 patients at a Dnipro psychoneurological hospital were forcibly deported to Crimea. Vorozhba, Sumy region, was hit with over 70 artillery rounds killing one, and then rockets were fired as “clean-up” began. Widespread shelling in areas of Donetsk close to the contact line, and eight were killed. An overnight missile strike on Zaporizhzhia causes major damage and kills four civilians.
Nov 7 MLRS strike on Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region, destroyed a farm. A school and kindergarten were destroyed by S-300 strikes in Zolota Balka and Beryslav, Kherson region. S-300 missiles destroyed a farm produce warehouse in a village in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Aircraft bombed Nova Kamianka and rocket strikes hit seven settlements in Beryslav, Kherson region.
Nov 8 In the Zaporizhzhia region civil infrastructure facilities in 17 settlements were destroyed by S-300 missiles, rockets and artillery; several were wounded. An R-77 air-launched missile and MLRS attacks on Kramatorsk and Bakhmut, Donetsk region, killed three, wounded an 8-year-old boy and damaged 12 private houses, a high-rise building, a school, and 7 trade pavilions. Mortars and artillery hit seven border communities in the Sumy region. A secret plan for the “development” of Russian education in Ukraine was discovered in Izium, Kharkiv region. Marhanets and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region bombarded causing more damage to residential buildings.
Nov 9 190 artillery and mortar rounds hit border areas of the Sumy region. “Nova Poshta” depot was destroyed by a Shahed drone attack in Dnipro; four employees were seriously injured. Russians seized the Strilkovo gas field in Henichesk, Kherson region and looted everything in the social and accommodation areas. Daryivka, Tyahyn and Novovasylivka bridges in Kherson region blown. Over 3,000 cyberattacks launched on energy systems since the invasion. Shahed and missile strikes on Mykolaiv and Novovoskresenske, Kherson region, kill two and damage private premises and businesses.
Nov 10 S-300 missiles destroy, an agricultural enterprise in Vilnyansk, Zaporizhzhia region. Widespread shelling in Kupyansk, Vovchansk, Dvorichna, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv districts damaged farm and residential properties. Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region damaged high-rise buildings, a gas pipeline, and power lines. Over 35 missile, drone and rocket attacks on infrastructure in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy and Kherson regions with mixed results.
Nov 11 Retreating Russian troops blew up the Antonivsky automobile and railway, and Kakhovka HPP dam bridges across the Dnipro in the Kherson region. Bodies of murdered civilians and booby traps were discovered by advancing Ukrainian forces. A cluster munition strike in Kharkiv injures two teenagers. Missile attacks in Mykolaiv destroyed a five-story building, damaged another, killed eight and wounded two. More than 50 MLRS rockets fired on three communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region. A missile strike in the Vinnytsia region, destroyed critical infrastructure facilities.
Nov 12 TV tower and entire energy infrastructure destroyed by retreating Russian troops in Kherson. Residential buildings in Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, were destroyed by rockets.
Nov 13 Missile strikes on Kharkiv, Kurakhove in the Donetsk region, and Zaporizhzhia
damaged power lines, residential buildings, and cars. A cluster munition rocket failed to function and was neutralized. Artillery and rocket attacks continued throughout the Donetsk region destroying numerous buildings, killing two and injuring many. Artillery bombardment of the Sumy region border areas killed two. Nikopol and Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region hit with rockets, two women were injured, high-rise and farm buildings, several gas pipelines, and power lines were damaged.
Nov 14 Shelling destroys the Bilopillia border village, Sumy region. The water level of the Oskil reservoir, Donetsk region fell by 9 meters after damage to hydraulic structures. Shelling of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region damages 15 buildings, gas and electricity lines. Critical infrastructure facilities in the Sumy region hit injuring three workers. Eight more murdered civilians were found in cellars and unmarked graves in liberated areas of Kharkiv and Kherson regions. Bombardment of liberated Chornobayivka, Kherson region aimed at destroying abandoned equipment and property. Rocket strikes on Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region, Kupyansk and Vovchansk, Kharkiv region and farms near the contact line; several buildings were damaged, and nine civilians were wounded. Rocket attack destroys power lines in Zaporizhzhia region, kills four.
Nov 15 Six missiles were launched on Kyiv, and debris from intercepted missiles damaged 10 buildings in three areas, killing two, including one woman placing flowers on her husband’s grave, and wounding three. A cruise missile destroyed a house on Kyiv’s left bank.
Nov 16 Main Directorate of Police, Kherson region destroyed after booby traps left by retreating Russians could not be neutralized. Kupyansk, Kharkiv region shelled as bodies being exhumed, killing one and wounding a policeman.
Nov 17 Eight wounded by rocket attacks on an infrastructure enterprise in the Izyum and Kupyansk, Kharkiv region. 23 were wounded by a missile attack in a street in Dnipro, an industrial enterprise, houses, and trolleybuses were damaged. MLRS strike on Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, three wounded, kindergarten, boiler house and 9 houses damaged. Sea- and air-launched missiles hit a logistics facility in Odesa and killed one. Rocket attacks hit critical infrastructure in Izyum, Kharkiv region, three workers were wounded. Rockets hit Avdiivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, and four isolated towns in the Donetsk region damaging infrastructure and enterprises.
Nov 18 Bodies of seven civilians, one a teenager, killed by headshots were found in a destroyed house in the Kherson region. Widespread shelling in the Donetsk region again, causing damage and five casualties. S-300 missiles hit a village in the Zaporizhzhia district, damaging a cultural center. Rocket attack on Nikopol district, Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging power lines, a solar substation, a high-rise, and farm buildings. A vehicle hit a landmine on a highway in Beryslav, killing the driver.
Nov 19 Over 700 bodies were recovered in 20 sites in liberated areas of the Kharkiv, Donetsk and Kherson regions. Rockets fired on Kherson residents collecting bread at a humanitarian hub, five were injured. Missile strike destroys the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Kyselyvka, Mykolaiv region. Residential area damaged in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. Rockets hit Zaporizhzhiaʼs infrastructure facilities, one died. 60 missile hits on Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, one killed, three wounded.
Nov 20 Rockets hit infrastructure in Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Horlivka, Toretsk and other communities in the Donetsk region. The Zaporizhzhia NPP was hit 12 times, damaging several safety and control elements linked to the restoration of electricity production.
40 MLRS and heavy artillery hits on residential areas in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, injuring one, damaging high-rise buildings, gas pipelines, and power lines.
Nov 21 MLRS strike on Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, wounded two and damaged homes. Cross-border strikes on Khotyn, Sumy region damaged a gas pipeline and houses. Four torture chambers were found in liberated Kherson. S-300 missiles destroyed houses in two villages in the Zaporizhzhia region. An MLRS strike on Shevchenkove, Kharkiv region, killed one and wounded three. Heavy MLRS strikes on Nikopol, Marhanets and Myriv, Dnipropetrovsk region injured several and damaged residential areas.
Nov 22 More than a hundred missile and Shahed drone strikes in the past week damaged thermal power plants (TPP) and hydroelectric power plants (HPP) throughout Ukraine causing widescale power outages. Artillery strikes on Toretsk and Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, wounded two and destroyed a warehouse. Russian shelling of Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia killed a social worker and wounded two women with a direct hit on a humanitarian aid point located inside a school. Approximately 100 mortar and artillery strikes on the border areas of the Sumy region damaged houses and power lines. Rocket attacks hit several areas in the Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging power lines.
Nov 23 Four killed and 27 injured by missile strikes on Vyshhorod, Kyiv region; the Kyiv region is completely without electricity, heating and some water supply. 16 critical civilian infrastructure objects hit by more than 60 missile and drone strikes on the Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Lviv, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions, killing seven and damaging residential buildings and energy infrastructure. Protective measures were installed at Rivne and Khmelnytsky NPPs. Mass power outages began in Moldova. Kherson city was hit with cluster munitions, damaging ten residential buildings. Kupyansk, Kharkiv region hit with MLRS killing two. Artillery strike killed a civilian in Bakhmut, Donetsk region. A rocket strike on Vilnyansk, Zaporizhzhia region hit the maternity hospital killing a newborn baby.

Nov 24 A missile attack on Toretsk, Donetsk region destroyed a kindergarten. 17 missile strikes on Kherson killed eight and wounded four. Missile strikes on Kyiv and surrounding areas killed five, wounded over 40, and damaged eight apartment buildings. More than 1,000 settlements in the Kyiv region were left without electricity. 3,000 miners had to be rescued from pits in Kryvyi Rih and Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region after power outages stranded them underground.
Nov 25 20 were killed and more than 50 injured in S-300 and cruise missile strikes in the Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions, high-rise buildings and medical infrastructure including the Kupyansk, hospital and the children’s playground damaged. MLRS strike on Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region damaged infrastructure. 70 Grad rockets hit Nikopol damaging buildings.
Nov 26 Border village in the Sumy region was hit by a sabotage group using an AGS grenade launcher. An airstrike on Dnipro, Dnipropetrovsk region killed five, wounded 13 and destroyed the residential block. Three were injured in an airstrike on Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, and a five-story building was destroyed. Four civilians were injured in Bakhmut and Kramatorsk, Donetsk region.
Nov 27 Seven civilians were killed and 19 injured by missile attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions; private houses, farms, and gas pipelines were damaged.
Nov 28 A tank fired on a car with its machinegun killing two civilians near Kherson. 80 rockets fired at the Zaporizhzhia region aimed at civilian infrastructure. Two civilians were killed by a rocket attack in Kurakhove, Donetsk region.
Nov 29 Three grain warehouses and equipment were destroyed by artillery in a border village in the Sumy region. An MLRS strike on Lyman, Donetsk region; one killed and three injured. The body of Ukrainian writer Volodymyr Vakulenko who was abducted and murdered near Izium, Kharkiv region, in March 2022 discovered.
Nov 30 158 artillery and 28 mortar strikes on border areas of the Sumy region, killing 5 civilians and wounding 21 after a hospital, a kindergarten, power lines, granaries, agricultural machinery, private cars, and administrative buildings were damaged. An S-300 missile strike destroyed a gas distribution point in Zaporizhzhia.
