Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, issued a video message on Monday, Oct. 9, urging the international community to "intervene and prevent" further escalation in the Middle East following recent events initiated by Hamas militants against Israel.
In his message, Kadyrov expressed solidarity with Palestine. He appealed to leaders of Muslim nations to form a coalition and implored their Western allies to avoid civilian casualties in their “pursuit of militants.’

"I appeal to the leaders of Muslim countries — create a coalition and call on those whom you call friends, Europe and the whole West, so that they do not bomb civilians under the pretext of destroying militants," Kadyrov said.
"We support Palestine. And we are against this war, which, unlike other conflicts, can escalate into something more," he added.
Furthermore, Kadyrov offered to deploy Chechen units as potential peacekeepers, prepared to "restore order" and "counter any disruptive elements" in the Middle East.
On Oct. 7, Israeli territories experienced a significant rocket barrage from the Gaza Strip, with armed Hamas militants infiltrating southern Israel. In response, the Israel Defense Forces initiated Operation Iron Swords, launching retaliatory actions against the Gaza Strip.
On Oct. 8, the Israeli government declared a state of war for the first time since 1973.
Consequently, on Oct. 9, the Israel Defense Forces announced successfully regaining control over all municipalities bordering the Gaza Strip.
