Russia continues its missile-led terrorism of peaceful Ukrainian cities. On the morning of Aug.17, it attacked Odesa with X-22 air-to-air missiles, Ukraine’s Operational Command (OC) “South” reported on Facebook.
A fire spread across 600 square meters. Rescuers managed to localize and extinguish the blaze.

“Overnight, Odeschyna was attacked by Tu-22M3 strategic aircraft which launched X-22 missiles. As a result of the impact of two rockets, there is evidence of destruction and fires broke out at a coastal recreation center and in several private buildings nearby,” according to the official message of OC “South”.
Currently, at least four civilians are known to have been wounded albeit not seriously. The victims received medical assistance.
Prior to that, on August 16, a missile strike was carried out in the Zhytomyr region. According to reports, there were no casualties.
“Following explosions in the Zhytomyr district, which occurred as a result of enemy missiles launched from the territory of Belarus, fortunately there are no victims,” the head of the regional military administration, Vitaly Bunechko, announced on Telegram.
On the night of August 16, the Russians shelled the Nikopol and Kryvorizky districts of the Dnipro region using soviet-era Grad and Uragan multiple rocket launch systems. Two females were reportedly wounded in the attack.

“The Kryvyi Rih area was fired upon by the enemy. Two women, aged 20 and 84, were injured and several private houses and a gas pipeline were damaged in the villages,” the head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration Valentyn Reznichenko wrote on Telegram.
He added: “Nine private houses, garages, and cars were damaged in the Chervonogrihorivska community. Shelling hit two warehouses of a local agricultural enterprise containing grain and machinery. In addition, the gas pipeline and power line were cut off and up to 2,000 people were left without electricity.”
Also, on the night of August 16, the Russian invaders fired rockets at five out of nine districts of Kharkiv. According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, a radius of rocket attacks this wide has not been seen for a long time.
