The Ukrainian city of Kherson, located in the southern region of the country, has come under shelling from Russian forces. The attack, which took place overnight on April 30, has left two people injured, according to Yury Sobolevskyi, the First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council.

While the victims did not require hospitalisation, authorities have warned locals to stay "away from windows" during any future shelling.

This is not an isolated incident, as Kherson city has been under heavy attacks by Russian forces since it has been liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in November 2022.

On April 29 alone, there were 27 shelling incidents, with Russian forces using various weapons, including artillery, MLRS, mortars, tanks, and drones. As a result of this shelling, one person was killed, and another was injured.
