Washington will strengthen their permanent military presence in Poland. In particular, the US is going to deploy several thousand additional troops, as well as establish a military base and weapons depots.
Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki said this during a press conference in Washington after a meeting with the US Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to Morawiecki, Harris announced "an additional presence of several thousand US troops in Poland, as well as the building of a base and a warehouse for the accumulation of equipment and US weapons."
Morawiecki noted that the troops can be quickly deployed, but the most important thing now is military equipment.
"This is evidenced by the Russian aggression faced by our eastern neighbors. And there will be more and more of this equipment in Poland," Morawiecki stated.
During the press conference, the prime minisiter noted that Poland offers the US a strategic partnership at all possible levels. He called it a "vaccine against Russian imperialism." Morawiecki noted that a significant intensification of contacts between Warsaw and Washington had taken place over the past year. It is not only about military but also economic cooperation and the presence of American investors in Poland.
Morawiecki assured that there will soon be new American investments in Poland, particularly in the military and high-tech sectors.
The Polish prime minister's visit to the US will last until Thursday, April 13. The main topics will be Poland's security, assistance to Ukraine, Polish-American economic cooperation, and energy cooperation between the two countries.
