A Russian missile has struck residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia on Wednesday, killing at least one person, and injuring 25 others.

Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, Anatoly Kurtev, said in a post on Telegram that the injured included two children aged 7 and 9.
In a post on Facebook, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia was shelling Zaporizhzhia with "bestial savagery”.
In a Twitter post, he added: “Zaporizhzhia. Right now, residential areas where ordinary people and children live are being fired at.”

He stressed that this must not become "just ‘another day’ in Ukraine or anywhere else in Europe or the world."

The attack came just hours after a drone strike killed at least four people during an overnight attack in the Kyiv region.
The emergency services initially said three people had been killed in the strike south of the capital Kyiv but police later announced another victim.
"The fourth victim was a 40-year-old driver. The man did not go down to the shelter during the air raid alerts," said Andrii Nebytov, the head of the Kyiv region police.
Ukraine’s military said 16 out of a total of 21 drones had been shot down during the attack.
