The Verkhovna Rada dismissed three ministers during its meeting on March 20. The deputies fired Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet, Minister of Strategic Industry Pavel Ryabikin, and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, as it was reported by the deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko via Telegram on Monday.
The dismissal of the head of the Ministry of Education, Scarlet, was supported by 295 parliamentarians. During almost 2.5 years of Skarlet's tenure, there were numerous protests demanding his resignation. One of the reasons was the scandal regarding possible plagiarism in the minister’s scientific publications.

The now, former, Minister of Strategic Industry Ryabikin is being considered for the position of ambassador to China.
Meanwhile, Mykhailo Fedorov, according to preliminary reports, will become the vice-prime minister for innovation, development of education, science, and technology - the minister of digital transformation of Ukraine.
